Repair or Replace? Here's the Quick Answer
The biggest question with auto glass is whether it can be repaired or has to be replaced. Here's the short version:
Windshields can often be repaired. Windshield glass is laminated, so small chips and short cracks can be filled and bonded instead of replaced. As a rule of thumb, if the chip is smaller than a quarter and outside your line of sight, it's usually repairable — we'll verify in person.
Side and rear windows can't be repaired. Those are tempered glass, designed to shatter into small cubes when they break, so they always have to be replaced. The good news is replacement is usually fast, often same-day.
When in doubt, ask. We won't sell you a replacement you don't need. Send us a photo or stop by and we'll tell you honestly whether a repair will hold or whether replacement is the smarter call.
